Internship Program

E3 Network’s internship program offers graduate students in economics the opportunity to work directly with environmental organizations during the summer months. Graduate students gain real world insights into environmental protection and explore possible avenues for their research and professional development. Organizations benefit from the expertise and training these junior economists bring to environmental protection efforts. Recent interns have been placed with the Natural Resources Defense Council, Union of Concerned Scientists, International Rivers Network, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Conservation Strategy Fund, Marine Conservation Biology Institute, Clean Air-Cool Planet, Forest Guild, New Voice of Business, Center for Environment and Population, Stockholm Environment Institute, Global Development and Environment Institute, and The Trust for Public Land.

E3 Network is accepting applications from NGOs who are interested in hosting one of our graduate student interns this summer. If selected, E3 will place one of its interns with your organization and pay them a stipend for 8 weeks of full-time work under your direction in your offices. A senior economist at E3 Network will mentor the student intern during their placement with you. Your organization is responsible for providing a supportive and enriching work environment for summer interns during their placement.
