2008 Interns
Carolyn Davidson is finishing her MS in Natural Resource Economics with a specialization in International Development at Colorado State University. She spent her internship with the Union of Concerned Scientists in Boston. She worked with their tropical forest and climate initiative, analyzing the economics of preventing greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation.
Nina Eichacker is a PhD student in economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Nina did her summer internship with the Forest Guild in New Mexico, researching US forestry options for mitigating climate change.
Zeinab Fard is a PhD student in economics at the New School for Social Research. She spent her summer working near NYC on a joint project of the Center for Environment and Population and Clean Air Cool Planet. Zeinab’s role was to collect and analyze the sources of carbon emissions by state.
Ian Strachan is a PhD student in economics at Colorado State University. Ian worked with the New Voice of Business in San Francisco to create materials for business leaders that stress the importance of regulation to environmental protection and the upside potential of regulations for businesses.
Grace Changis a PhD student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Grace spent her summer internship with the Stockholm Environment Institute - U.S. Center in Boston helping a team of researchers analyze the trends of China’s greenhouse gas emissions growth.
