Dissertation Fellowship

E3 Network awards graduate dissertation fellowships to support doctoral research that develops and applies innovative economic arguments for active protection of human health and the environment. The research should demonstrate an explicit focus on social equity and reflect E3’s guiding principles. Priority will be given to research that helps advance environmental protection in the US or US participation in solutions to global environmental problems.

This program is open to graduate students in economics or closely related fields who are currently enrolled in an accredited Ph.D. granting institution in the US. Applicants must have completed all of the requirements for the Ph.D. except for the dissertation. Applicants for dissertation grants may be US citizens, US permanent residents, or non-US citizens. Underrepresented minority researchers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Potential applicants should a 1-2 page letter of inquiry that describes the scope and expected outcomes of the applicant’s doctoral research. Applicants may then be invited to submit a formal application for funding.
